What is Cabinet Refacing?

Cabinet refacing is the process of putting new doors and drawer fronts on your existing kitchen cabinets.  Replacing only the doors and keeping the cabinet boxes can dramatically reduce the cost of your kitchen renovation.   If your current cabinet boxes are in good shape and you generally like the layout, then cabinet refacing may be the answer for creating your dream kitchen while keeping costs down.

As part of this process, the functionality of your kitchen might be improved by adding a few new cabinets or a new pantry to the current layout, or by converting base cabinets to have all drawers with soft close undermount slides.   As well, new end gables and side panels, crown moulding, light valences and other pieces can be added to complete the new look.

Most jobs can be installed in a matter of days which greatly minimizes the disruption to your daily life.  The basic process is as follows:

Step One:  Consultation

We meet in your home to discuss your renovation plans. Door samples are presented for your review that you can hold in your hands.   The scope of the job is identified, including requirements for doors, drawer fronts, side/end panels, toe kicks, crown moulding, layout changes, and any other accessories.

Step Two :  Quote & Place Order

Soon after meeting, we provide you with a formal quote outlining all aspects of the proposed job.  If you wish to proceed, we place the order and give you an anticipated date for installation.

Step Three:  Installation

When everything is ready, we come to your home and install your new kitchen.  Installations usually take two to three days.
